Hello, my name is Jack. I am a recent transplant (pardon the pun) to New York. I spent four years in Indiana, but I am a Texan through and through.

I recently became an empty-nester. I am proud to say I raised two fantastic sons. One is a US Marine (Ooh Rah!) and the other is beginning his college career studying Biochemistry. But I miss all the time we spent together when they were growing up. It’s hard to let them go after spending 20 years coaching baseball, football, being a scout leader, church youth volunteer and a confirmation mentor, camping and raising them to be men of substance.

I began my dialysis Jan 2015. My sweet wife runs my home hemo overnight, so I can continue to pursue my career. Although it was very hard being so tired and sick in stage 5 failure, I was determined not take disability and continued to keep working.

I am enjoying exploring New York as much as I can physically with my wife. This is definitely a beautiful state to live in.

I am hoping for a living kidney donor soon.
