My Story – Ellen Harris-Harvey

Hello,
My name is Ellen Harris-Harvey. I am a retired Optician and a Minister and Evangelist in my local Buffalo community, and Church. I am the President of my neighborhood Trinidad Block Club, and I run a non-profit Community Outreach Ministry called “Spiritual Connections.”

I have been conducting Outreach Ministry Services to aid the elderly, the sick, disabled, veterans and youth in my community for many years.

I also created, directed, produced and launched my own Live Gospel Radio Broadcast “Spiritual Connections” on July 16, 2014. My broadcast aired Live on WUFO 1080am/96.5fm for over 3 1/2 years.

I have been on hiatus from my Radio Show due to the decline in my Kidney function. For the past year my Kidney function has been on the decline, and I was recently added to the United Network for Organ Sharing (U.N.O.S.) List in Rochester New York, at Strong Memorial Hospitals Kidney Transplant Program.

I have one son, Ronald, who lives in Brooklyn N.Y., who works as a Civil Engineer/Project Manager in Manhattan New York, and I have one daughter, Michelle, who resides in Seattle Washington with her husband and my three grandchildren, Romello 16, Miyah 9, and Malia, 2 years.

I have two other Family members who I love very much, my two beautiful Pomeranians, Picasso and Coco Chanel.

My Blood Type is AB+ and I have been a frequent Blood Donor to the Red Cross for 30+ years.

I am in need of a Kidney donor due to Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD)and the recent decline in my Kidney function.

I was diagnosed with PKD over 15 years ago. I have High Blood Pressure and I am prescribed several medications to keep it under control, which I have been on for too many years.

I am seeking to find a Living Donor who could give me the Gift Of LIFE,a Kidney.

A New Kidney would be a Miracle and a Blessing which would allow me to Live without having to be placed on Dialysis. I am seeking a Living Donor to Give Me the Gift of Life. I am also on the National deceased donor listing (UNOS) to receive a Kidney, if it God’s plan for that to happen.

I am the youngest child in my family and I pray that myself & my 5 Siblings who all suffer with (PKD) & (CKD) will all one day have the opportunity to receive the Gift of LIFE by receiving a living donor or deceased Kidney to improve all of our Quality of Life!
