Diagnosed at age 6 type 1 diabetes. I am now 38 with 2 children, Joshua, age 13 and Chloe age 2.
I had a transplant in 2008, donated by my aunt. We both did well. I went to nursing school, was close to finishing when last Sept I went into total kidney failure. Ended up in hospital, 2 days on ventilator. Been on dialysis since last Oct. In/out of hospital since then. I am sick most of the time. I almost died a few times this past year.
I don’t want to die.I am unable to care for my children.
My parents keep my son and my little girl lives with her dad. I want to get this transplant so I can be healthy again, to get my children back and finish nursing school.
