My life changed unexpectedly when I developed a severe infection that quickly turned into sepsis. What started as an illness became a medical emergency as the infection spread through my bloodstream and caused my body to begin shutting down.

I spent time in the hospital fighting for my life while doctors worked to control the infection and stabilize my condition. Although I survived sepsis, the damage it caused was significant. One of the most serious complications was kidney failure. The infection and stress on my body permanently affected my kidneys, leaving me with severe kidney disease.

Since then, everyday life has been filled with medical appointments, treatments, and uncertainty about the future. A kidney transplant would give me the opportunity to regain my health, spend more time with the people I love, and live without the constant burden of kidney failure.

I am incredibly grateful for the support of my family, friends, and medical team as I continue this journey. My hope is to receive the gift of a kidney and a second chance at life.
